This locomotive was built in 1963 for the Northern Gas Board’s Redheugh Gas Works. She worked there until 1972 . In 1973 she was moved to Tanfield Railway and remained there until 1975 when she transferred to Beamish Museum.

She was donated to Bowes in 2010.

She has a 88 hp Ruston diesel engine and weighs in at 17 tons. She was one of 257 built to this design (Design reference 88DS).
