The “Living History Theatre Company” from Canada will give a free drama workshop and later perform an interactive play around our site.

The Drama Workshop is at 1pm.

Followed by the interactive mystery play at 3pm. Meet at Tearoom at 2.45pm

The body of Jane Beardmore, the daughter of a Springwell Colliery miner, was found murdered at Sandy Cut, Eighton Banks in 1888.

The participants will follow the theatre company around the site trying to solve the mystery of this gruesome event.

This is a free event but requires prior booking. Numbers restricted to around 25.
